Reflection
During a Movement for Children class, I was assigned to create a newsletter that promoted healthy activities for students and their families. I know that to be a good educator, it is crucial to collaborate with the families of my students, as well as community members and my professional peers. Newsletters, whether they are hard copies or electronic copies, are a great way to communicate what is transpiring in your classroom. A good educator realizes the importance of including the communities and families of their students in their academic endeavors. It is vital to be aware of all the different ways of reaching out to the families and the community. In my future classroom, I look forward to using a variety of technological tools and communication strategies to build
local and global learning communities that engage learners, families, and
colleagues.
